7th Anniversary of Same-Sex Marriage in Taiwan: Civic Groups Report Support Has Grown to 54.3%

As Taiwan approaches the 7th anniversary of legalizing same-sex marriage, the Rainbow Equality Platform released a poll showing that public support for same-sex marriage has reached 54.3%, an increase of 12 percentage points over the past seven years. Support for transnational same-sex marriage stands at 63%, and joint adoption at 67.2%. Notably, support for gender equality education hit a record high of 75%. The platform urges the legislature to swiftly pass artificial reproduction laws, as nearly 60% of the public supports allowing female same-sex couples to use artificial reproductive technologies.
