(CNA, New York, 14th, Comprehensive Foreign Report) As investors assess US economic data and focus on the progress of the summit between US and Chinese leaders, Wall Street stocks trended higher at the open today, but the gains in the main indices were not large.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened up 150.4 points, or 0.30%, at 49843.58.

The S&P 500 index opened slightly higher by 10.1 points, or 0.14%, at 7454.40.
