The Miaoli County Government's Culture and Tourism Bureau pointed out that "That Picture of Us," produced by Greener Grass Production and the Hakka Public Communication Foundation, is a cinematic creation that integrates Mandarin, Hakka, Korean, and English, blending Hakka themes with memories of the era. He feels it is particularly meaningful to present this work in the land where he grew up.
Cheng Nai-fang pointed out that he is from Hsinchu but has many friends from Miaoli. He feels especially honored to participate in a film that is spoken in Hakka and views the major historical event of 1977 in Taiwan from a Hakka cultural perspective, as many important scenes were filmed in Miaoli.
