Trump-Xi summit to be held; Lu Shiow-yen urges high-level officials to closely observe and respond

Lu Shiow-yen attended a press conference for Taichung City's pregnant women's transportation subsidy, 'Good Pregnancy Together in Taichung,' this morning and was interviewed by the media. Regarding US President Trump flying to China today for the Trump-Xi summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Lu Shiow-yen believes that the Trump-Xi summit is being watched by the whole world and also concerns Taiwan.

Lu Shiow-yen stated that the Trump-Xi summit might also relate to military procurement, and possibly other issues such as technology, economy, and Taiwan's future. She emphasized that attention should be paid to the Trump-Xi summit and its potential impact on Taiwan's military procurement.
