TECO Participates in Drone Exhibition, Showcases Commercial Power Systems and Robot Joint Modules

Central News Agency (Reporter Chung Jung-feng, Taipei, 13th) — Electrical machinery giant TECO announced today via press release that, in collaboration with its U.S. subsidiary TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company, it is participating for the first time in the XPONENTIAL 2026 International Unmanned Systems Exhibition in Detroit, U.S.A., showcasing high-payload commercial drone flat wire power systems and robot joint modules.

TECO Electric & Machinery General Manager Kao Fei-yen stated that this exhibition of results is a crucial step in deepening its presence in the North American market. It will directly address the needs of North American customers in agriculture, logistics, and automation. The goal is to collaborate extensively with North American drone manufacturers, Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS) providers, and robot developers to enhance TECO's visibility in the North American smart power system market.

TECO noted its proactive efforts in the rapidly growing commercial unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and smart robotics markets. Its high-payload drone flat wire power system has been integrated into existing agricultural drone clients. To aggressively penetrate the core North American market, TECO is actively advancing product verification and anticipates obtaining Green UAS certification by the end of this year, in response to the stringent requirements of the North American market's application supply chain.

TECO stated that for the medium-sized logistics drone market, it is simultaneously planning the development of low-rare-earth flat wire motors.

Regarding robot joint module systems, TECO stated that by integrating key components such as brushless motors, planetary gear reducers, encoders, and sensors, these modules can be widely applied in smart mobile systems like robotic arms, quadruped robots, and humanoid robots.
