Cai Biru reportedly intends to run for Changhua County Magistrate; Huang Kuo-chang: Please have the party headquarters conduct an overall evaluation

Huang Kuo-chang stated that how to secure Changhua is the most important thing, and he has asked the Changhua party headquarters to convene all candidates and local voices for an overall evaluation.

Huang Kuo-chang today invited KMT New Taipei City mayoral candidate Li Sichuan, TPP New Taipei City Councilor Chen Shih-hsuan, and New Taipei City Councilor candidates Lin Tzu-yu, Chen Yen-ting, Chen Yi-chun, Wu Ya-lun, Chen Yu-chieh, and others to shoot campaign promotional photos.

The KMT Central Standing Committee will nominate former Disciplinary Committee Chairman Wei Ping-cheng to run for Changhua County Magistrate. Media asked if Cai Biru plans to visit the TPP Central Committee to discuss the Changhua County Magistrate nomination with Huang Kuo-chang.

Huang Kuo-chang said in an interview that Cai Biru seemed to have visited the Changhua County party headquarters yesterday to express her intention. He has instructed TPP Secretary-General Chou Yu-hsiu to ask Changhua County party chairman Wen Tsung-yu to consult with party members nominated in Changhua and begin internal evaluation work.

Earlier, Huang Kuo-chang had said, 'I still have a dark horse in Changhua.' Media asked if Cai Biru was that dark horse. Huang Kuo-chang said that overall, considering how to secure Changhua is the most important thing. Since Cai Biru has submitted her letter of intent to the Changhua County party headquarters, they will gather local voices and then conduct an overall evaluation.

In addition, media reported that former TPP spokesperson Yang Bao-zhen intends to run for Taichung City Councilor and stated that if the TPP does not nominate her, she would consider running as an independent. Former TPP New Taipei City Xizhi District Director Huang Shou-shi withdrew from the party's New Taipei City Councilor primary election at the end of January, alleging smear tactics by competitor Chen Yu-chieh, and announced his withdrawal from the party last night.
