(Central News Agency reporter Wang Yang-yu, Taipei 12th) Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) legislator Lin Chun-hsien today questioned the frequent pinhole camera voyeurism incidents in medical aesthetic clinics and transportation hubs, suggesting real-name management for pinhole cameras. He also proposed that the Ministry of Transportation should establish guidelines to strengthen anti-pinhole detection. Premier Cho Jung-tai stated that the government has an obligation to alleviate public fear and must strictly formulate a set of management standards.

The Legislative Yuan continued its general interpellation session this afternoon. Lin Chun-hsien mentioned that the biggest news in recent days was the pinhole camera voyeurism incident in a medical aesthetic clinic. However, even before the incident, the public had already initiated a petition on the Public Policy Network Participation Platform to oppose the proliferation of pinhole cameras, with over 9300 people seconding it, indicating strong public resentment towards this issue.

Cho Jung-tai said he thanked the legislator for once again reminding them of the major cases affecting social security and privacy protection recently. Essentially, the camera itself is not contraband, but if it involves radio frequency, it must undergo certification by relevant authorities.

Lin Chun-hsien further stated that the government implements real-name management for pesticides, fertilizers, and dangerous chemicals. For example, for pesticides, the government has 100% control over who produces them, which stores sell them, and who buys them. He believes pinhole cameras can be managed in the same way. In addition, anti-pinhole management in transportation hubs is inconsistent, and the Ministry of Transportation should establish guidelines to strengthen anti-pinhole detection.

Cho Jung-tai stated that the government has an obligation to alleviate public fear, and therefore must strictly formulate a set of management standards.

In addition, Lin Chun-hsien compared maps from various systems, including Apple, Google, and Microsoft. When photographing Taiwan's military facilities, Apple's map had masking, while others did not.

Cho Jung-tai said he would ask the Ministry of Digital Development to strongly demand that these international platforms, since Apple can do it, there is no reason for others not to, and to make effective improvements as soon as possible.

Furthermore, when DPP legislator Su Chiao-hui questioned, she proposed a concrete vision for the development of New Taipei's tourism industry, hoping to utilize New Taipei's rich coastal and mountain resources. She also hoped to connect existing tourism resources on the North Coast by improving fishing ports and wharves, constructing pathways, and revitalizing venues.

Su Chiao-hui pointed out that the current visitor centers' functions are too singular. She suggested that visitor centers could refer to national highway service areas, which have repeatedly achieved record-high revenues, not only selling local specialty agricultural products but also providing diverse services such as restaurants and shopping malls. She even suggested referring to Japan's "Roadside Station" design, making visitor centers a portal for local tourism and travel promotion, so that visitor centers no longer passively wait for tourists but actively attract them.

Cho Jung-tai stated that with good hardware facilities, there should be better marketing and services. He will ask the Ministry of Transportation to study relevant improvement methods, hoping to help promote local industries and further drive local tourism development.
