The TAIEX ultimately closed at 41603.94 points, down 329.84 points, a decrease of 0.79%, with a transaction value of NT$1.245002 trillion.

Market leader TSMC fell 0.87%, closing at NT$2290; Delta Electronics fell 3.51%, closing at NT$2200; MediaTek, however, went against the trend, soaring 6.14% to close at NT$3630. (Edited by: Yang Lan-hsuan) 1150508
