Taipei Metro stated that the snake has been removed from the train and animal protection authorities have been notified. If the owner is found, a fine of NT$1500 will be imposed, reminding passengers that pets must be kept in cages when traveling on the MRT.

Many netizens posted photos and videos on the social media platform Threads today, stating that they saw a snake on a Bannan Line MRT train, wondering "whose child forgot to get off the train." Some passengers even picked up the snake with their hands, causing a stir.

Taipei Metro Company stated that at approximately 6:40 PM this evening, security personnel at Nangang Exhibition Center Station received a report from a passenger about a pet snake on a train heading towards Dingpu. They boarded the train to handle the situation and removed the snake at Kunyang Station.

Taipei Metro explained that the Animal Protection Office has been notified. If the owner is found, a fine of NT$1500 will be imposed in accordance with Article 50, Paragraph 1, Item 8 of the "Mass Rapid Transit Act" for bringing an animal into the station area or vehicle without permission.
