(Central News Agency, Taipei, May 8) Precision component supplier jpp-KY (Jing Bao Precision Holdings) today announced on behalf of its important subsidiary, jpp-KY Thailand, that due to increasing non-aerospace orders and the need for operational expansion, it will self-construct a new sheet metal stamping plant and other ancillary facilities and systems in the Ban Pho Industrial Estate, Lane 8 plant area, with a total cost of THB 147 million, excluding tax.
The announcement stated that the counterparty to the engineering contract is PAN ASIA SUPPLY CO., LTD., a non-related party. The construction period is 12 months, with a 10% advance payment of the contract amount. The penalty for project delay is 0.1% of the contract amount per day, with a maximum of 10%. The owner can retain 5% of the final payment as a one-year guarantee bond.
In addition, jpp-KY today simultaneously announced on behalf of its subsidiary, Jing Bao Thailand, the purchase of stamping machinery and equipment totaling USD 5.45 million. Converted at the Bank of Taiwan's exchange rate of 31.66 New Taiwan Dollars to 1 US Dollar at the end of April, this amounts to approximately TWD 173 million, including 14 large stamping machines and 32 sets of related equipment.
The announcement noted that a major customer in Thailand is significantly expanding its factory and needs to invest in and procure stamping machinery and equipment for producing 2U and 3U large server cabinets by mid-2026. A dedicated plant will be established to provide Just in Time (JIT) production services to support the customer's large-scale development of large server cabinets and related energy and AI product lines, offering optimal supply chain services.
jpp-KY also announced its Q1 financial report today. Benefiting from strong pull-ins from US-based AI server customers and close cooperation with strategic customer partners in Thailand, single-quarter revenue reached TWD 1.166 billion, a year-on-year increase of 44.6%, setting a new record for single-quarter revenue. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent company was TWD 218 million, with basic earnings per share of TWD 4.13.
Regarding the outlook for this year, jpp-KY stated that in addition to the soon-to-be-completed painting line entering mass production, they are also planning a new dedicated plant to meet customer demand. Besides existing AI server chassis and cabinets, they are also cooperating in the production of backup battery module (BBU) and liquid cooling distribution unit (CDU) structural components. With the development of AI applications and hardware, cloud storage demand, as well as the stability of cooling and power systems, will become the mainstream trend in future component manufacturing. jpp-KY is already prepared in the AI server field. 1150508
