Taiwan Railways: Shanli to Luye Temporarily Closed, Taitung to Guanshan Bus Shuttle Activated

Central News Agency (Reporter Huang Qiaowen, Taipei 7th) - The section between Shanli and Luye on the Taiwan Railways was temporarily closed today due to a fallen tree causing a power line malfunction. Taiwan Railways Company apologized and stated that personnel have been dispatched to the scene for emergency repairs, and a road shuttle service has been activated between Taitung and Guanshan.

Taiwan Railways explained in a written statement that at 10:41 AM today, they received a report that a fallen tree between Shanli and Luye caused a power line malfunction, leading to the temporary closure of the line. A road shuttle service has been activated between Taitung and Guanshan. A first-level emergency response team and operation management team were immediately established, and power units were urgently dispatched to the site for full-scale repairs.
