(Central News Agency reporter He Hsiu-ling, Taipei, 6th) E-commerce companies are vying for the last mile, and logistics competition has entered a decisive phase of infrastructure construction. Fubon momo announced the groundbreaking of the Hukou Logistics Park, invested and constructed by Fubon Life, with which momo will jointly invest to create a new generation intelligent logistics park. It is expected to be completed and operational in 2029, strengthening delivery capabilities in Northern Taiwan. This is also momo's rare large-scale logistics center that lays out cold chain capabilities.

Coupang announced in March this year the launch of its fourth intelligent logistics center in Taoyuan. Today, its Q1 financial report also stated that its proprietary logistics and delivery system in Taiwan can stably support next-day delivery, currently covering most of the shipping volume, and the coverage is continuously expanding. Recently, Taiwan has also launched three major services, including flexible delivery dates, flexible delivery locations, and flexible returns.

Industry insiders believe that Taiwan's e-commerce has entered a new battleground where efficiency is decisive, and delivery speed is one of the key factors for e-commerce companies to gain market share.

momo stated today via a press release that the groundbreaking ceremony for the Hukou Logistics Park was held, partnering with Fubon Life to build an intelligent logistics park. With a total development volume of 88,000 pings (approx. 290,400 sq meters), it consists of three large facilities covering automated warehousing, constant temperature, and cold chain uses, strategically placed in the core logistics corridor of Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli. After completion and operation, it will become a crucial pillar for momo to strengthen logistics in Northern Taiwan, and also an embodiment of resource collaboration within the Fubon Group to jointly enhance e-commerce fulfillment competitiveness.

momo told Central News Agency reporters that the Hukou Logistics Park has two major highlights. The first is its geographical location, adjacent to the Hukou Interchange of National Highway No. 1, only 300 meters away, and about 40 kilometers from Taoyuan International Airport. It also connects the Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli and Greater Taipei consumer circles and possesses the conditions for international logistics connectivity for cross-border goods.

The other highlight is the planning of cold chain facilities. The park will also introduce automated warehousing equipment, conveying and sorting lines, and an intelligent warehouse management system. After its future activation, it is expected to increase warehousing processing capacity by over 30%.

In addition to planning the Hukou Logistics Park in the northern region, momo also opened its first Northern Taiwan logistics center as early as 2017, located near Taoyuan Qingpu. Industry insiders believe that with the future operation of the Hukou Logistics Center, momo will have two large logistics centers in the north, forming a dual-engine delivery system, which is also an important strategic move to respond to Coupang's accelerated layout in logistics and fast delivery.

Fubon momo General Manager Ku Yuan-hung stated that e-commerce has entered a stage of infrastructure competition, and a logistics system that continuously invests in intelligent upgrades is the foundation for a platform to possess long-term competitiveness. The Hukou Logistics Park is a long-term investment momo is making in anticipation of the next phase of market competition. (Editor: Lin Hsing-meng) 1150506
