May Taiwan Stock Index Futures Fall by 119 Points

(Central News Agency, Taipei, 30th) The Taipei stock market closed today down 376.87 points, settling at 38926.63 points. The turnover was NT$122.037 billion. The May TAIFEX futures closed at 39360 points, down 119 points, showing a positive spread of 433.37 points compared to the spot market.

Taiwan Futures Exchange set the opening reference prices for the nearest two-month index futures contracts: May futures at 39479 points and June futures at 39572 points.

The Taiwan stock market closed today down 376.87 points, settling at 38926.63 points, with a turnover of NT$1,022.037 billion.

The May TAIFEX futures closed at 39360 points, down 119 points, with 72,005 contracts traded; the June futures closed at 39424 points, down 148 points, with 779 contracts traded. The actual closing prices are subject to the announcement of the Futures Exchange. 1150430
