Tamsui to Banqiao, Airport Direct and Scenic Buses to Trial Operate on 5/13

(Central News Agency reporter Wang Hung-kuo, New Taipei, 29th) The New Taipei City Government Department of Transportation announced today that in conjunction with the opening of the Danjiang Bridge, three new bus routes—Banqiao Express Line, Airport Express Line, and Tamsui Bali Scenic Bus—will begin trial operations from May 13, providing citizens with more convenient transportation options for traveling between Banqiao and Taoyuan International Airport.

The Department of Transportation issued a press release, with Section Chief Hsu Yuan-chi stating that these newly established routes cover three major functions: "rapid commuting," "airport direct," and "tourism connection," meeting the needs of different groups.

The trial operation schedule is as follows: The 988 Banqiao Express Line (Tamsui New Town to Banqiao Bus Station) will have 4 services daily, with the earliest departure at 6:50 AM, and fares will be charged in 4 stages; the 115 Tamsui Bali Scenic Bus will operate by reserved charter during the trial period, running from Friday to Sunday each week, with 3 services daily at 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 6:00 PM, and fares charged in 2 stages.

For the Airport Express Lines: The 989 (Tamsui New Town to Taoyuan Airport) will run bi-directionally, with 6 services daily. Departure times from Taoyuan Airport Terminal 2 will be 7:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 4:00 PM; from Tamsui New Town at 8:30 AM, 12:30 PM, and 5:45 PM, with fares charged in 8 stages.

The 990 (Tamsui MRT Station to Taoyuan Airport) will also run bi-directionally, with 6 services daily. Departure times from Taoyuan Airport Terminal 2 will be 6:00 AM, 10:00 AM, and 2:00 PM; from Tamsui MRT Station at 7:45 AM, 11:30 AM, and 3:30 PM, with fares charged in 8 stages.

The Department of Transportation stated that after the opening of the new routes, travel between the Tamsui and Bali areas and the city center and airport will be more convenient.
