(Central News Agency reporter Zhao Liyan, Taichung, 28th) Tunghai University has partnered with ASUS and NVIDIA to create an AI PC classroom, introducing the artificial intelligence agent platform OpenClaw (Lobster), comprising 78 top-tier AI PCs, to allow students to experience new technologies and support cutting-edge teaching and research.
According to a press release issued by Tunghai University, the Department of Computer Science has added another dedicated AI PC classroom, which is also the school's 7th AI PC classroom. It has comprehensively upgraded 78 computer facilities and computing performance, introducing the artificial intelligence agent platform OpenClaw. The unveiling ceremony was held today.
Tunghai University President Chang Kuo-En stated that Tunghai University is comprehensively promoting artificial intelligence (AI) development, including campus environment construction, teaching innovation, and administrative reform. In addition, to transform based on students' real needs, in addition to equipment connecting to professional learning, the university is taking the lead in promoting stratified teaching for "Electrical and Computer Engineering Group," "Software Engineering Group," and "Artificial Intelligence Group," among which "Electrical and Computer" is a key focus for future software engineering combined with AI development.
Chang Kuo-En said that in the future, he hopes to use AI tools to "learn from students," where computer science students will guide administrative staff on how to "nurture lobsters" (OpenClaw), gradually optimizing campus administrative processes and overall efficiency. He believes that they can achieve mutual success and jointly build a better AI environment.
Yang Chao-Tung, Dean of the Tunghai University Library and Information Department and Director of the Computer Science Department, stated that he hopes to make good use of technological trends to transform learning models. The Computer Science Department also hopes to become an important support for the university in responding to the challenge of declining birthrates, promoting digital transformation, and strengthening governance effectiveness.
