New Taipei Yonghe Boy Falls from Building While Home Alone, Dies After Medical Treatment

(Central News Agency reporter Cao Yalalong, New Taipei, 28th) Police in Yonghe District, New Taipei City, stated that a 3-year-old boy, left alone at home while his mother was out, accidentally fell from a high-rise building (over ten stories) tonight. He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead after rescue efforts failed. The detailed cause of the accident is awaiting investigation.

New Taipei police and fire department received a report that around 8 PM tonight, a 3-year-old boy suddenly fell from a high-rise building in a community in Yonghe District, New Taipei City. A security guard discovered him and immediately called the police. When paramedics arrived, the boy was in an OHCA (out-of-hospital cardiac arrest) state. He was immediately transported to Shuang Ho Hospital for emergency treatment but was pronounced dead around 9 PM.

According to reports, the boy's mother had gone out to pick up his older brother, leaving the boy alone at home, which unfortunately led to the accident. The detailed cause of the fall is still awaiting investigation. (Editor: Li Hengshan) 1150428
