(Central News Agency, Taipei, April 28) Elitegroup Computer Systems announced today that its board of directors resolved to increase capital for its 100% wholly-owned subsidiary, GBM Electronics (M) Sdn. Bhd., by 70 million Malaysian Ringgit (approximately 564 million New Taiwan Dollars).

GBM Electronics (M) Sdn. Bhd. will issue 70 million new shares at a price of 1 Malaysian Ringgit per share. Elitegroup Computer Systems stated that this capital increase is for long-term investment and plans to obtain bank loans to acquire the subsidiary's increased shares.

According to Elitegroup Computer Systems' official website, the company was established in 1973 and primarily operates in printed circuit board (PCB) production and sales, and electronic manufacturing services (EMS).
