PHOENIX (CNA) – The defending NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Phoenix Suns 131-122 today, becoming the first team to advance to the second round of the playoffs. With a 4-0 sweep, the Thunder maintained their perfect 12-0 record in the first round over the last three seasons. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 31 points, following a 42-point outing in Game 3. The Thunder displayed overwhelming offense, hitting 17 of 34 three-pointers (50%). Chet Holmgren contributed 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Isaiah Hartenstein added 18 points and 12 rebounds. Despite a late rally led by Devin Booker, who scored 24 points for the Suns, the Thunder's efficient shooting (61.4% in the first half) secured the win. The Thunder will face the winner of the Lakers-Rockets series next.
