Maj. Gen. Li Chieh, the outgoing Deputy Commander of the Army's Penghu Defense Command, and Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Ho Hua-hsing paid a farewell visit to Penghu County Deputy Magistrate Lin Chieh-hsing today. On behalf of the county government, Lin presented them with commemorative wine and Honorary Citizen Certificates, thanking them for their dedication to the safety and stability of the region.
According to a press release from the Penghu County Government, Li Chieh had an outstanding 42-year military career, demonstrating excellent leadership and setting a model for junior officers. During his service in Penghu, Li contributed significantly to local safety and fostered military-civilian cooperation, earning widespread recognition. Deputy Magistrate Lin wished him a smooth transition into retirement.
Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Ho Hua-hsing, who has served in Penghu for over a year, will be transferring to lead the Army Infantry Training Command. The county government praised his professionalism, responsibility, and leadership in training and executing annual missions. Lin expressed hope that Ho would continue to use his expertise and passion in his new role to strengthen the nation's defense capabilities.
