Following emergency repairs by Taiwan Railways, service was restored at 9:43 PM, and normal operations resumed.
According to a notification from Taiwan Railways, due to a power equipment failure around 8 PM today, the Eastern Line between Ruiyuan and Luye became impassable, causing train delays and damage to the pantographs of three Tze-Chiang Limited Express trains.
