(Central News Agency Belmopan, April 25) The Taiwan Embassy in Belize hosted a goodwill performance by the 'Dunmu' Goodwill Fleet on the 22nd, featuring the ROC Naval Academy's drum and bugle corp. The event included opening ships to the public, inviting local dignitaries and students to board the vessels after their 50-day voyage. Greater Belize Media reported that beyond music and ceremony, the visit underscored the enduring friendship between Belize and Taiwan. Francis Usher, Vice Minister of the Belize Ministry of National Defense, spoke on the importance of this relationship and the role of Belizean cadets in this international exchange. 'This is part of a goodwill visit to Belize,' Usher said. 'The performance included a military band from the Taiwan Naval Academy, as well as displays by the honor guard and Taekwondo team.' He added, 'Taiwan has provided great assistance in various types of professional training, helping us build capacity. As I've said, Taiwan has found the right way to communicate, and that is by investing in Belize's most important asset: its people.'
