New graduates eligible for priority military service, applications start as early as May 11

(Taipei, Central News Agency, April 26, Reporter Kao Hua-chien) The Ministry of Interior announced today that to assist graduating conscripts in planning their future development in advance, they can apply online for priority enlistment or deferred enlistment. This year's priority enlistment application period is from May 11 to June 11, and the deferred enlistment application period is from July 1 to November 30.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release today that to assist graduating conscripts in planning their further education, employment, and future development, all conscripts born between 1994 and 2004 who have not yet been assigned to a conscription batch can apply online for priority or deferred enlistment. This year's "priority enlistment" application period is from 10:00 AM on May 11 to 5:00 PM on June 11, and the "deferred enlistment" application period is from 10:00 AM on July 1 to 5:00 PM on November 30.

The Ministry of Interior stated that conscription procedures will be handled in the order of "priority enlistment," "no application for priority or deferred enlistment," and "deferred enlistment," with enlistment scheduled in batches, allowing conscripts to arrange their service timing according to their personal career plans.

The Ministry of Interior reminded that to cooperate with the National Defense Ministry's new recruit training center capacity planning, conscripts must enlist in batches. Those applying for "priority enlistment" do not need to submit their graduation certificates first. Conscripts can apply online as early as needed, according to their personal needs and enlistment schedule planning.

The Ministry of Interior stated that according to the current enlistment schedule, most army conscripts this year can enlist before the end of October, while navy ship personnel, marines, and air force conscripts can mostly enlist before the end of September.
