(Central News Agency, Taipei 26th) According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, a magnitude 6 earthquake occurred in Mongolia at 12:23 PM today, with a focal depth of 15 kilometers. Many parts of Xinjiang also felt the tremors.

According to comprehensive reports from mainland media including Xinhua Net, the China Earthquake Networks Center measured a magnitude 6 earthquake in Mongolia (46.85 degrees north latitude, 93.15 degrees east longitude) at 12:23 PM on the 26th, with a focal depth of 15 kilometers.

Reports indicate that tremors were felt in Urumqi City, Qinghe County in Altay Prefecture, and other areas in Xinjiang. Qinghe County in Altay Prefecture received a magnitude 4.9 earthquake alert.
