Chuang Chen Chung-ao Takes Loss; Lin Chen-wei Secures First 2A Win

In a MiLB Double-A match today between the Oakland Athletics and the St. Louis Cardinals, Athletics pitcher Chuang Chen Chung-ao started and pitched 7 innings, taking the loss after allowing 4 runs on 2 home runs. Cardinals pitcher Lin Chen-wei secured his first career 2A win after pitching 4 scoreless relief innings with 6 strikeouts.

25-year-old Chuang Chen Chung-ao allowed a double in the first inning but recovered to induce a double play. However, he surrendered a solo homer to Travis Honeyman in the 3rd and another 2-run blast to Chase Davis in the 6th. He totaled 89 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 8 hits and 4 earned runs, leaving his ERA at 2.45.
