(Central News Agency reporter Tseng Yun-ting, Taipei 24th) The Invest Taiwan Office announced today that Allianz Express and HOSON Enterprise are expanding their investments in Taiwan through the "SME Program," focusing on smart logistics and advanced precision processing, respectively. Allianz Express will invest approximately NT$450 million to build a smart warehousing and logistics center in Taoyuan Zhongli, aspiring to become a critical operational hub for the global AI supply chain.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs' Department of Investment Services explained in a press release today that Allianz Express originated as a traditional transportation company and has transformed in recent years to develop technology logistics. It has obtained AEO Authorized Economic Operator certification and ISO45001 certification, possessing high-tech electronic cargo bonded and customs clearance capabilities. Allianz Express currently owns approximately 200 professional transport vehicles and 10 warehousing locations, and has its own software engineering team, capable of providing customized logistics management systems based on the needs of AI and semiconductor clients.

In response to the growing logistics demands of the AI server industry, Allianz Express plans to establish a smart warehousing and logistics center in Taoyuan Zhongli, introducing an AI warehousing management system, integrating smart shelving and automated handling equipment, and optimizing dispatching to improve operational efficiency and safety management.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs stated that HOSON Enterprise has deep roots in the field of metal precision processing, with services covering semiconductor equipment, aerospace, and medical industries. This time, it plans to invest approximately NT$210 million to expand equipment at its Kaohsiung Yong'an factory, expected to add 12 employees, and introduce AI and data analytics technologies to build a process database and smart decision-making model to enhance production efficiency and quality control.

The new HOSON Enterprise factory will also set up a smart energy monitoring system and photovoltaic equipment, and conduct greenhouse gas inventories, promoting energy saving, carbon reduction, and green manufacturing, further strengthening Taiwan's advanced precision manufacturing and localized supply capabilities for key components.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs statistics show that, as of now, the three major Invest Taiwan programs (Taiwanese Businesses Returning, Local Enterprises Staying, SMEs) have attracted investments of approximately NT$2.6384 trillion from 1,739 companies, estimated to create 164,591 domestic job opportunities. Among these, the "Accelerated Investment Action Program for SMEs" has seen investments of approximately NT$601.1 billion from 1,179 companies, bringing 41,563 job opportunities. Subsequently, there are still 22 companies awaiting review. (Edited by Yang Lan-hsuan) 1150424
