The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 340.65 points, or 0.69%, to close at 49,490.03.
The S&P 500 Index gained 73.89 points, or 1.05%, finishing at 7,137.90.
The Nasdaq Composite Index advanced 397.61 points, or 1.64%, to close at 24,657.57.
