US-Iran War Key News

(Central News Agency Washington 20th Comprehensive Foreign Report) Former US President Donald Trump said tonight that after the US military's airstrikes on Tehran's nuclear facilities last year, extracting enriched uranium from the ruins "will be a long and difficult process."

Trump insisted that Iran's enriched uranium stockpile would eventually be moved to the United States; however, Iran's Foreign Ministry denied any such plan.

Trump wrote on his social media platform "Truth Social": "Operation Midnight Hammer by the US military completely destroyed Iran's 'Nuclear Dust' strongholds... Now, extracting the enriched uranium will be a long and difficult process."

The United States accuses Iran of stockpiling enriched uranium in an attempt to build nuclear bombs. Trump often refers to Iran's enriched uranium stockpile as "Nuclear Dust"; but sometimes also uses it to refer to the material left behind after the airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities last June.

Israeli officials stated that since Israel launched a war against Iran last June, and the United States bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities, including a uranium enrichment plant, Tehran has intensified efforts to acquire nuclear weapons.

The United States and Israel jointly launched another airstrike on Iran on February 28 this year, aiming to eliminate what Israel calls an "existential threat" posed by Iran's nuclear program. (Compiler: Chi Chin-ling) 1150421
