(Central News Agency reporter Huang Yu-Ching, Pingtung County, 21st) The 12th session of Pingtung Grand Manager Basic Class, Pingtung North branch, commenced today. This session's 28 young entrepreneurs come from diverse fields, including LED installation companies for palanquins and construction engineering. During the 8-week training, students will systematically learn business strategies such as brand marketing.
Pingtung County Magistrate Chou Chun-Mi attended the ceremony and stated that the Pingtung Grand Manager course has been held for 12 years, cultivating a total of 339 "Grand Managers" to date. They not only shine in local industries but also consolidate energy for promoting local industry development through course instruction and mutual learning among students. She expects all students to apply the "Seven Strategies for Operations" learned in the course to corporate management, improving operational efficiency.
Chou Chun-Mi said that the "Grand Manager" brand has become an important platform for young people to start businesses and learn. She thanked the dedicated teachers and past senior students who served as mentors and life coaches, making the course not just about learning but also demonstrating the unique support and energy of the Grand Managers. She noted that many well-known local businesses are among this year's registered students. She encouraged students to continuously refine themselves on their entrepreneurial journey and wished them a smooth learning process and abundant harvest.
Student Chen Meng-Chien said his company mainly deals with equipment related to traditional temple fair culture, combining technology with traditional culture, and has produced famous LED installations for palanquins, such as those for the Donggang Wangye Festival. He took over his family business and found that traditional industries lacked organizational structure, making them difficult to sustain. Therefore, he joined the course hoping to learn about corporate image building, brand marketing, and management.
Student Luo Wen-Yen said he opened an interior decoration contracting company three years ago. His company currently has four people, including himself. Lacking experience in managing people, he hopes to learn through the course how to place the right talent in suitable positions to gradually expand the company's scale.
The Pingtung County Government Labor and Youth Development Department stated that the Grand Manager course continues to be led by main lecturers Chang Sheng-Hsiang and Shih Rui-Feng, with outstanding past senior students serving as instructors. The 8-week intensive course guides students in learning 7 major business strategies, covering corporate culture, brand marketing, customer touchpoint management, logistics division of labor, management calendar, talent development, and goal management and KPIs. Through courses that emphasize both theory and practice, it assists students in systematizing corporate management, improving operational efficiency, and moving towards sustainable operations.
