Kaohsiung Spring Picnic Fun: Guoling Natural Park Creates Urban Lawn Party

Kaohsiung City – April 21, 2024 – The Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau is hosting the "Find a Green Heart - Spring Picnic Fun" event, scheduled for April 25-26 and May 1-3 at Kaohsiung's Guoling Natural Park. The event will feature "Red Dong Dong" art installations, a bubble experience zone, a lawn market, parent-child interactive street performances, and handicraft workshops, creating a large urban lawn party for citizens. Additionally, the event collaborates with Kaohsiung's official tourism app, "Kaohsiung GO!", to launch a "Mystery Mission." Participants who take photos with the "Red Dong Dong" art installations or attend the "Kaohsiung Bear Flash Mob Meet-and-Greet" from May 1st to 3rd will have a chance to win limited-edition event souvenirs. Tourism Bureau Director Kao Min-lin stated that Kaohsiung's Guoling Natural Park boasts a vast 70-hectare lawn and a 7.2-kilometer walking trail. During the "Find a Green Heart - Spring Picnic Fun" event period, it will transform into a city picnic venue, inviting the public to bring their own picnic mats and enjoy their time. To add visual highlights, large red ball art installations titled "Red Dong Dong" have been set up at fairways 1, 9, and 10, expected to become the latest popular photo spots. Fairway 10 will also feature a bubble experience zone, allowing visitors to wear bubble suits and roll freely on the grass to release stress. The event also includes performances such as magic, balloon twisting, juggling, and storytelling. On May 1st, there will be a picture book storytelling session, "Spider's Colorful World." From May 1st to 3rd, the "Kaohsiung Bear Flash Mob Meet-and-Greet" will accompany visitors for a joyful time.
