Baxianshan Firefly Season Uses Low-Blue-Light AI to Create Eco-Friendly Environment

The Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency's Taichung Branch planned the 'Firefly Season' at Baxianshan National Forest Recreation Area, utilizing 'ECOridge ecological lighting' technology to set up an ecological lighting demonstration zone. This zone uses low-blue-light spectrum and AI intelligent control to minimize interference, creating a friendly environment for firefly watching. Located in the Guguan area of Taichung, the park has excellent forest and water environments, breeding various fireflies such as the black-winged firefly. The 'Firefly Season' events will take place on April 25, May 2, and May 9, featuring interactive experiences to help the public understand firefly mating signals and ecological significance. Last year, the branch facilitated a project with LEOTEK (LITEON Group) to install 36 sets of improved LED lights. These lights reduce the blue light ratio to below 2%, minimizing disturbance to the behavioral patterns of fireflies and nocturnal animals, thus maintaining the habitat's ecology.
