Taiwan Stocks Open Up Over 100 Points; TSMC Opens High but Drifts Lower

US stocks mostly rose, but TSMC's ADR fell. TSMC opened high but moved lower in early trading today, reaching a peak of NT$2,085, up NT$5. TSMC will hold its earnings call in the afternoon, making it the focus of the market.

Around 9:07 a.m., the weighted index reached 36,831.75 points, up 109.61 points, or an increase of 0.3%, with a trading volume of NT$123.997 billion.

In early trading, TSMC reached NT$2,085, up NT$5. Delta Electronics reached NT$1,840, up NT$55, while Foxconn fell to a low of NT$206, dropping NT$1.5.
