Comprehensive reports from the Communist Party of China's People's Daily and Reuters indicate that at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Pedro Sanchez arrived in China yesterday for a five-day official visit. This marks Sanchez's fourth trip to China since 2023. Cui Hongjian, a scholar from Beijing Foreign Studies University, was quoted by China News Service as saying that Sanchez's frequent visits reflect the strategic intention of both sides to develop high-level interactions into a more institutionalized and long-term framework.

According to reports, Xi Jinping will meet with Sanchez on the 14th. Observers anticipate that Sanchez's visit will focus on economic and trade issues such as attracting Chinese investment, promoting renewable energy cooperation, and expanding Spanish agricultural exports to China. Additionally, the situation in the Middle East is expected to be a significant topic during the meeting between Xi Jinping and Sanchez.

Prior to this, Sanchez had visited China in April 2025, September 2024, and March 2023. (Editors: Zhou Huiying/Tang Peijun) 1150412
