Kinmen yesterday and this morning were affected by dense fog on external flights. According to statistics from the Kinmen Airport this morning, 1407 passengers to Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung were still on the waiting list. Around 10 AM, the dense fog gradually dispersed, and flights returned to normal take-off and landing, but flights to Taiwan were all fully booked, with only single-digit passengers on the waiting list.

Kuomintang legislator Chen Yu-chen posted on Facebook stating that to cope with the Qingming Festival return travel rush, military aircraft transport support has been coordinated to assist waiting passengers in returning to Taiwan. Additional military flights include 4 flights from Kinmen to Taipei, 2 to Taichung, and 2 to Kaohsiung, as well as 1 flight from Kaohsiung to Kinmen.

In addition, Chen Fu-hai also posted on Facebook stating that he has instructed the Tourism Department to actively coordinate. After discussions with the airport and airlines, and coordinating reserve capacity, it was decided to add chartered flights. Uni Air has added chartered flights departing Kinmen for Taipei at 9:25 PM and 10:05 PM, and Mandarin Airlines has added a chartered flight departing Kinmen for Taichung at 6:30 PM.
