(CNA Pontianak, 16th, Comprehensive Foreign Dispatch) Indonesian search and rescue agencies reported that authorities are searching for a helicopter carrying 8 people that lost contact earlier today in West Kalimantan province on Borneo.
Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported that the Indonesian search and rescue agency indicated the helicopter, belonging to a local airline, took off earlier from West Kalimantan province on Borneo, heading to another location within the province.
The helicopter was carrying 2 crew members and 6 passengers and lost contact around 8:10 AM local time.
The head of the local search and rescue agency told AFP that about 20 rescue personnel have been dispatched to the area around the helicopter's last known position to conduct a search.
