(CNA Reporter Chiang Yi-ching, Yunlin County, 16th) The Baishatun Gongtian Temple Mazu Procession from Tongxiao Township, Miaoli County, arrived at Beigang Chaotian Temple in Yunlin County today. The Yunlin prosecution, police, investigation, and ethics agencies acted as one-day pilgrims (Xiangdengjiao), combining religious activities to deeply engage the public in promoting anti-bribery and anti-fraud awareness, thereby strengthening citizens' sense of the rule of law.

Led by Chief Prosecutor Lin Hsiu-min of the Taiwan Yunlin District Prosecutors Office, alongside Yunlin County Police Commissioner Huang Fu-tsun, Director Hsieh Chih-hao of the Ministry of Justice Investigation Bureau's Yunlin County Investigation Station, and Director-General Hsing Chi-chun of the Yunlin County Government Civil Service Ethics Office, a cross-agency joint promotion team for anti-bribery and anti-fraud was formed. They disguised themselves as one-day pilgrims and walked with the procession.

Along the way, Lin Hsiu-min and the three other officials advocated to the devotees to "reject bribery and bravely report it" and "prevent fraud and stay vigilant." They transmitted important rule of law messages through a method close to the public's daily life, hoping that citizens would absorb correct legal knowledge while participating in religious activities.

The Yunlin District Prosecutors Office stated that bribery and fraud severely infringe upon social fairness and citizens' property security. The prosecution will continue to integrate with police, investigation, and ethics agencies to strengthen horizontal communication and intelligence integration, thoroughly implementing efforts to crack down on bribery and violence as well as combat fraud, ensuring election fairness and maintaining social order.

The Yunlin District Prosecutors Office noted that with the nine-in-one local elections approaching at the end of the year, a clean election environment requires the joint protection of all citizens. The public is urged not to take chances or test the law by engaging in bribery or fraud. If relevant incidents are discovered, citizens are encouraged to report them bravely to jointly protect democratic values and social justice. (Editor: Li Ming-tsung) 1150416
