Taipei, April 13 (CNA) A fire broke out today at the 'Xiang Xiang' restaurant on the 46th floor of Breeze Xinyi Department Store in Taipei's Xinyi District, and the fire was extinguished within 20 minutes. Breeze stated that evacuation was completed immediately, with no casualties, and the cause of the fire is under investigation by fire authorities. Breeze will cooperate with subsequent investigations by relevant units; in addition, related floors have been inspected and are gradually resuming operations.

Taipei police and fire department received a report at around 11:26 AM, stating that a fire had occurred at the 'Xiang Xiang' restaurant, a brand under the Wowprime Group, inside Breeze Xinyi Department Store in Xinyi District. Four command vehicles, 17 fire trucks, 5 ambulances, and 67 personnel were immediately dispatched to fight the fire. A total of 312 people (159 males, 153 females) were evacuated from the scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was caused by burning oil ducts in the restaurant kitchen, resulting in dense smoke. Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene to control the fire, preventing it from spreading, and extinguished the fire at 11:45 AM. (Editor: Pan Yijing) 1150413
