(CNA Reporter Li Chien-chung, Taipei, 18th) In the UBA Fubon Life University Basketball Association women's Division 1 semifinals held today at the Taipei Arena, Shih Hsin University relied on a 60% three-point shooting percentage and 26 points from Chiu Yung-Ling to defeat CTBC Academia 85-74, advancing to the championship game.

The Shih Hsin women's basketball team achieved a spectacular five-peat in the Division 1 from the 108th to the 112th academic years. However, the team underwent major changes last year, with Lin Chi-wen taking over as head coach. The former head coach, Ho Cheng-feng, moved to today's opponent, CTBC Academia.

Although Shih Hsin trailed 39-46 in the first half, they found their shooting touch from beyond the arc after the break. Consecutive three-pointers by Yu Chin-Hua and Chiu Yung-Ling overturned the score. Early in the fourth quarter, a 9-0 run expanded their lead, eventually completing the comeback victory.

In an interview with the media, Shih Hsin University head coach Lin Chi-wen stated that the team encountered turbulence during the game, but fortunately, everyone adjusted quickly. "We practiced full-court press tactics extensively during the break, and it seemed the opponent's stamina was affected in the second half, allowing us to successfully turn the tide as hoped."

In addition to Chiu Yung-Ling, Yu Chin-Hua recorded 14 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists, 8 steals, and 5 blocks, demonstrating dominant, all-around performance. She said: "In tomorrow's championship game, I believe everyone will fight hard. No matter who the opponent is, we will help each other to secure the victory." (Editor: Hsieh Ya-chu) 1150418
