(Central News Agency reporter Huang Hsu-sheng, New Taipei, 17th) The New Taipei City Education Department stated today that Ruifang Industrial High School has integrated its spatial mapping, architecture, and interior space design departments, and collaborated with universities of technology and enterprises to build a complete learning path from mapping and positioning, construction, to space design, aiming to cultivate construction talent.
The New Taipei City Education Department's Industry-Government-Academia Talent Cultivation and Enterprise Donation Ceremony was held today at the city government. Ruifang Industrial High School integrated the three departments to create a smart construction talent cultivation chain.
Guo Yu-chen, principal of Ruifang Industrial High School, stated that the school promotes cross-disciplinary courses and off-site training to create a learning environment close to the workplace; students also reflected that the courses are closer to practical operations, and they gain a greater sense of achievement from mapping, modeling, to design applications.
The school explained that the spatial mapping department introduced drone mapping, satellite positioning, and precise cadastral surveying technologies, combining ground-penetrating radar and unmanned surveying boats to cultivate integrated water, land, and air capabilities. The architecture department deepened the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to improve efficiency and reduce material waste through virtual construction simulation. The interior space design department emphasizes green buildings and low-carbon design, balancing aesthetics and practicality. The horizontal integration of the three departments allows students to grasp the entire picture of the industry.
Education Department Commissioner Chang Ming-wen stated that vocational education focuses on practical work and industry integration. Through enterprise equipment donations, co-teaching by industry professionals, and internship opportunities, students can access industry technologies and standards while in school, strengthening their professional abilities and enhancing their employment competitiveness after graduation.
The industry also expressed its support. Hsueh Hsien-cheng, general manager of RSEA Engineering Corp., stated in a press release that they will provide internship and training opportunities to jointly cultivate professional talent. Huang Chih-tung, chairman of Chien Jui Construction, pointed out that he hopes to help students connect with the workplace in advance through the cooperation project. (Editor: Chen Jen-hua) 1150417
