Taipei, April 13 (CNA) The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) is actively deepening Taiwan-US exchange and cooperation. Following TWSE Chairman Lin Hsiu-ming's delegation to the US in early March to attract investment and businesses, the Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce of North America (TCCNA) visited the TWSE last Friday. The focus was on promoting US companies to list in Taiwan and connecting with advantageous industries, hoping to jointly build Taiwan into the "Asian NASDAQ."

The TWSE announced today in a press release that TCCNA President Pai Yueh-chu, along with PricewaterhouseCoopers, major North American Taiwanese business associations, and Chinese representatives, visited the TWSE on April 10th. The accompanying companies' industries covered AI data analysis, ESG circular economy, biotechnology, and information consumption industries.

The TWSE pointed out that during the meeting, both sides discussed foreign companies listing in Taiwan and the excellent performance of Taiwan's capital market. They hope to combine the advantages of Taiwan and the US to establish a link for foreign companies to list in Taiwan, jointly building the "Asian NASDAQ."

The TWSE stated that since opening up to foreign companies listing in Taiwan, it has successfully attracted several flagship enterprises with US technology backgrounds to list in Taiwan, such as BizLink-KY, a major global AI data center connectivity manufacturer; AMAX-KY, a high-performance computing (HPC) system integrator; and TaiMed Biologics-KY, specializing in biosimilar drug development.

Looking ahead, the TWSE will continue to cultivate the Taiwan-US technology corridor, assisting North American Taiwanese businesses in utilizing the highly internationalized status of Taiwan's capital market to expand their operations and strengthen their global influence.

The TWSE believes that compared to other international capital markets, the Taiwan Stock Exchange has developed its unique characteristics and relative advantages. In terms of industry, it has formed an attractive cluster effect for high-tech industries. Related industries listing in Taiwan tend to receive better valuations, and indicators such as price-to-earnings ratio and turnover rate are higher than in neighboring markets, becoming a feature and advantage of Taiwan stocks.
