Taipei, April 15 (CNA) In response to the continuous increase in industry demand for talent and the accelerated transformation of the labor market, the Ministry of Labor has launched five major annual job fairs. A total of over 500 companies are participating, offering more than 15,000 job vacancies, and providing various career services to help the public find employment smoothly.

The Ministry of Labor's Workforce Development Agency announced today in a press release that it will successively hold five large-scale job fairs in Hsinchu, Keelung, Pingtung, Tainan, and Taichung. The first job fair was held in Hsinchu on March 14, offering over 10,000 job opportunities and attracting more than 10,000 job seekers.

The agency stated that the second job fair will take place on April 25 at the Keelung Municipal Stadium. The event incorporates the imagery of Keelung's seaport, and in addition to local Keelung companies, enterprises from Taipei and New Taipei City will also participate. A total of 60 companies are invited, offering 1,800 job opportunities, with on-site interviews available.

The agency also mentioned that the Keelung area job fair will feature two themed promotion areas and one achievement experience area. These include career positioning and counseling to help clarify personality traits and career directions, job redesign explanations and diverse workplace experiences for middle-aged and older individuals, and the integration of vocational training, diverse empowerment, and micro-entrepreneurship from 18 units. On-site, there will be VR and AR welding virtual reality experiences, various DIY activities like printmaking, and product experiences from diverse entrepreneurial businesses.

The agency stated that three more job fairs will be held in Pingtung, Tainan, and Taichung between May and July, expected to offer over 4,000 job opportunities.

The agency also said that in addition to the annual large-scale job fairs, it will subsequently cooperate with universities and colleges in various locations to hold campus recruitment events, allowing young people to meet with companies face-to-face to understand job vacancies and accelerate their job search and hiring process.
