(Central News Agency Reporter Lin Qiao-lian Kaohsiung, 15th) The Kaohsiung City Youth Bureau's music talent training brand "High-Speed Youth" program has officially launched. The first wave of training courses brings together instructors like Golden Melody Award winner Zheng Yu-chen, guitarist for the band Fire Extinguisher, and Golden Bell Award winner Lian Yu-han, among others. Six courses are planned to help young people connect with the industry.

The Youth Bureau stated in a press release today that "High-Speed Youth" is entering its sixth year. The first wave of training courses is now open for registration. The lineup of instructors includes Golden Melody Award-nominated band Mango Jump's lead singer Guo Zuo-zhi, outdoor host Duan Hui-lin, Huojin Music Artist Director Xu Bi-yu, and Project Manager Wu Zhong-hao, among other distinguished mentors. Three weekends, totaling six courses, are planned.

Lin Kai-xuan, Director of the Youth Bureau, said that the 2026 "High-Speed Youth" program is a complete music industry chain built around five core items: training courses, industry internships, music production, pilot projects, and exhibitions. The "training courses" announced first have a strong lineup of instructors, aiming to deepen the cross-disciplinary integration of popular music, film and television production, and performing arts.

Lin Kai-xuan added that this mechanism can guide young people to start from their interests, understand the industry landscape, refine their original creative energy into market-ready capabilities, and become immediate assets in the future popular culture industry.

The Youth Bureau stated that the first wave of training courses will be held over three consecutive weekends starting from the 25th. The first week, "Film and Television Drama Practice," will be led by Duan Hui-lin, who will guide participants on program planning and filming practicalities. Lian Yu-han will serve as a mentor, sharing how to interpret characters with subtle psychological nuances and micro-expressions to enhance emotional resonance and dramatic tension.

The second week's courses, "Band Arrangement and Music Creation," will feature Zheng Yu-chen analyzing band arrangement layers, and Guo Zuo-zhi sharing techniques for inspiration and melody development to help students deepen their music creation abilities. The third week, "The Last Mile to Industry Connection," will feature copyright expert Ye Si-jia and Spotify senior editor Lu Wei-xiao explaining digital streaming licensing and AI creation issues.

The Youth Bureau pointed out that this year's course design focuses on comprehensively deconstructing practical challenges, covering fields such as on-screen performance, behind-the-scenes brand management, and copyright licensing. Through sharing and discussions with instructors, the gap between learning and application will be shortened. The first wave of courses prioritizes high school, vocational school, and university students, as well as young people under 35 years old, who are registered, studying, or employed in Kaohsiung.

In addition, "High-Speed Youth" has already nurtured several emerging bands that have released digital works, and creative and performing talents have subsequently entered fields such as music production and behind-the-scenes operations. Among them, "YUMMY MAN" and "Universe Database" performed on the main stage of Kaohsiung Christmas Life Festival's Central Park last year; "TOYSHARK" held its 5th-anniversary special at LIVE WAREHOUSE Xiaoku in Pier-2 Art Center.
