The Ministry of Education issued a press release today pointing out that in an era of information explosion, the cultivation of concentration and thinking skills is even more important. Reading is not just about acquiring knowledge, but also about purifying the mind and reshaping thinking. In the 2025 academic year, the Ministry of Education subsidized 752 schools to promote various reading activities. Through strategies such as creating specific environments, introducing digital tools, and integrating reading across disciplines, reading is becoming a life skill for students.

In recent years, reading education in schools has become increasingly rich and diverse, no longer limited to traditional paper formats. Fuli Junior High School in Hualien County organized a creative experiential camp. Through field trips, students can personally experience and explore the history, culture, and community characteristics of Fuli Old Street.

Yuguang Elementary School in Pingtung County uses AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools to transform static English picture books into dynamic digital teaching materials and interactive games, creating an immersive language and reading environment to boost reading motivation.

Xingfu Elementary School in Taoyuan City invites parents to participate in "Parent-Child Story Theater" and "Parent-Child LOHAS Reading." Through co-reading activities, they enrich language learning and life experiences.

The Ministry of Education also reminded schools that at this stage, reading education should not be about passively accepting information, but rather cultivating critical thinking and deep expression skills. It recommends guiding students during activities to actively search for and integrate information, thereby cultivating their ability to analyze and solve problems.
