They also clarified that the company is not experiencing losses and has no plans for any changes in ownership. TVBS will hold its annual brand presentation on the 15th to explain its next phase of plans.

TVBS has repeatedly been rumored to be for sale. Recently, some media reported that Chinatrust Financial Holdings major shareholder, Koo Chung-liang, intended to acquire it, and had officially signed an MOU with TVBS's major shareholder, HTC Chairwoman Cher Wang's family, for a period of up to six months, also securing preferential negotiation rights for TVBS.

In response, TVBS stated, "The company's overall operations are stable, there are no losses, and there are no plans for any changes in ownership."
