Taiwan and its African ally, the Kingdom of Eswatini, are celebrating 58 years of diplomatic relations this year. Coinciding with Eswatini's series of celebratory events in late April, including the King's 40th anniversary of ascension to the throne and his 58th birthday, President Lai has been invited to visit.

The Presidential Office announced a press conference this morning at 10 AM to disclose details of the "President's visit to an African ally."

According to sources, President Lai will visit the Kingdom of Eswatini from April 22nd to 26th. The theme of the visit is "Taiwan and Eswatini Celebrate Together, Hand in Hand for Prosperity," symbolizing the two nations celebrating important milestones side by side and deepening cooperation on the path to prosperous development.
