(Central News Agency reporter Tsai Meng-yu, Kaohsiung, 13th) This year's "French Lifestyle Festival in Kaohsiung" will be held from May 22nd to 24th at the Weiwuying National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts. The city government today announced the event's dual main visuals, inviting a French illustrator to use a lively creative style to present the daytime and nighttime landscapes of Kaohsiung.

The "French Lifestyle Festival in Kaohsiung" was first held in 2024, and in 2025, it attracted 160,000 visitors, with a cumulative total of over 270,000 visitors in two years. This year, it will take place from May 22nd to 24th at the Weiwuying National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts, with the theme "Paris Champs-Élysées Symphony Night," upgrading the event scale and enriching its content.

The Kaohsiung City Government today announced the main visuals for the 2026 event, inviting a French illustrator to craft them. Using a lively creative style, combining Kaohsiung's urban imagery with French artistic flair, it is the first time to launch "Daylight" and "Nighttime" dual main visual designs, presenting the cityscape of Kaohsiung at different times.

The Daylight version outlines a leisurely and light lifestyle rhythm with bright tones, while the Nighttime version creates a romantic and rhythmic urban night scene through light, shadow, and stage atmosphere, echoing this year's theme, "Paris Champs-Élysées Symphony Night."

The City Government's Administration and International Relations Department today issued a press release stating that this year's event will transform the Weiwuying outdoor theater and surrounding lawn space into an open-air art and cultural venue, inviting the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and the NSO National Symphony Orchestra to perform; there will also be the renowned Bolero dance workshop, inviting citizens to personally experience French art.

During the event, an outdoor cinema area will also be planned, showing classic French films for three consecutive days, and French pétanque and football experience zones will be set up. In addition, the French market will feature pastry baking, French cuisine, cultural and creative designs, and lifestyle selections, and invite local French restaurants and baking brands to set up limited-time pop-up restaurants.

The "French Lifestyle Festival in Kaohsiung" is co-organized by the City Government's Administration and International Relations Department, the French Office in Taipei, and the Association of French People in Taiwan. Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai and French Office in Taipei Director Franck Paris invite the public to join them in Weiwuying to experience this grand cultural event combining music, art, and lifestyle aesthetics between Taiwan and France.
