New Power Party Hsinchu City Councilor Lin Yan-fu stated today via video that Hsinchu City distributed 5,000 TWD stimulus vouchers to each citizen in January and February this year. On January 24, 361 physical distribution points were set up across the city, mobilizing approximately 3,000 civil servants for support.
Lin said that civil servants worked overtime on weekends to cooperate with city policies. However, more than two months have passed, and the overtime pay has not yet been received. He questioned the city government's disregard for labor rights and expressed concern over administrative efficiency, urging an acceleration of the disbursement process.
The Hsinchu City Government's Department of Economic Development stated in writing that they have completed the compilation of the payroll list and are rigorously performing line-by-line data verification and correction. Subsequent payments will be made in batches to accelerate the administrative process, aiming to transfer the funds to colleagues' accounts in the shortest possible time.
The City Personnel Department stated that they would fully cooperate with the business unit to review overtime standards, after which the Department of Economic Development will issue the overtime pay to staff according to procedures. (Editor: Lin Shu-hui) 20260409
