The Chiayi Branch of the Forestry Bureau today held a new product launch event for essential oil fragrances, showcasing products made from cypress (紅檜) and camphor (牛樟) essential oils extracted from residual materials such as pruned branches, fallen trees, and hazardous trees from the Alishan area.

Li Dingzhong, Director of the Chiayi Branch, stated in a media interview that these products were developed in collaboration with Da Da Life Biotechnology Co., Ltd., a local Chiayi enterprise that has long been dedicated to product research and development and the manufacturing of natural plant fragrances. The company has also adopted nine reforestation areas, planting over 16,120 trees, and actively supports the government's 2050 carbon neutrality policy goal.

Li Dingzhong added that both parties uphold the spirit of mutual benefit and cross-domain integration. The Chiayi Branch provides the cypress and camphor essential oil raw materials, while the enterprise is responsible for product research and development, design, and marketing. Under the theme 'Fragrance Continues the Mountains, Forests Prosper Endlessly,' they have combined the warm, deep woody notes of Alishan's native cypress with the unique mellow herbal aroma of camphor to create an immersive fragrance experience centered on Taiwan's forests.

Li Dingzhong pointed out that the co-branded products include four new items: Alishan Cypress Essential Oil, Alishan Camphor Essential Oil, Cypress Essential Oil Spray, and Camphor Essential Oil Spray. These are 100% naturally extracted and have passed SGS quality inspections.

Xie Fengyu, Chairman of Da Da Life Biotechnology, stated that a portion of the profits from the joint products will be allocated to a tree-planting fund, allowing consumers to contribute to the protection of Taiwan's forests with every use, jointly realizing the goal of harmonious development between the environment and industry.
