Taiwan's Stock Index Futures Drop 366 Points in August

(Taipei, Aug. 16, CNA) The Taiwan Stock Exchange closed down 6.61 points today, ending at 45,624.98 points. The August Taiwan Stock Index futures closed at 45,700 points, down 366 points, with a positive price difference of 75.02 points compared to the spot market.

The Taiwan Futures Exchange set the opening reference prices for the near two-month index futures contracts at 46,066 points for August and 46,277 points for September.

The Taiwan stock market today closed down 6.61 points, ending at 45,624.98 points, with a trading volume of NT$900.838 billion.

The August Taiwan Stock Index futures closed at 45,700 points, down 366 points, with a trading volume of 69,633 contracts; the September futures closed at 45,949 points, down 328 points, with a trading volume of 376 contracts.
