The Hong Kong government released statistics today, showing that the city welcomed 26.71 million visitors in the first half of 2023, a 13% increase compared to the same period last year. Among them, visitors from mainland China exceeded 20.55 million, accounting for nearly 77% of the total.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board announced that in June alone, 3.72 million visitors arrived in Hong Kong, a 7% year-on-year increase. From January to June, the cumulative number of visitors reached 26.71 million, up 13%. Visitors from outside mainland China totaled 6.15 million, a modest 5% increase.
