(CNA reporter Chen Yu-ting, Taipei, July 16) Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Taipei mayoral candidate Shen Po-yang today unveiled a sports policy agenda, proposing initiatives such as launching mobile fitness buses, constructing an international-grade football stadium, and building a super civic sports center. Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an stated that the city government has been implementing various policies in recent years, aiming to raise the proportion of residents who exercise regularly to 40%. He added that the city will consider any constructive suggestions from the public.

Shen held his first policy press conference, focusing on a three-tiered 'small, medium, large' sports strategy aimed at increasing sports participation. By deploying fitness buses, building super civic sports centers, and constructing an international football stadium, he aims to integrate sports into daily life, create a comprehensive sports ecosystem, and establish the 'Infinite City Sports League'.

Before attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation of Rongxing Garden Park, Mayor Chiang Wan-an told reporters that the city government has already established second-generation sports centers—specialty sports halls—in many districts. The city is also planning an international-grade badminton arena and has launched the U-Sport program, with the goal of increasing the proportion of Taipei residents who exercise regularly to 40%. He emphasized that any good suggestions from the public will be taken into consideration.

Regarding Shen Po-yang's upcoming visit to the United States from July 20 to 28, Chiang said he hopes the trip goes smoothly.

On the personal front, Chiang's son, Chiang Te-li, has been admitted to Chien Kuo High School, making him Chiang Wan-an's junior. Chiang expressed gratitude for the teachers and classmates his son has encountered, praising his son's hard work. He said he hopes his son will be happy no matter which school he attends.
